ABOUT
Worms Theatre Company was founded in 2021 with the intention of affecting social change through theatre. We are held within an interconnected web of grassroots organisations. We work in mutual aid and partnership with BASE Social Centre, Adventure Playground, Bristol Commons, Coexist and The Cube Microplex. We wish to inspire and invigorate people through the radical act of story.
In a time of crisis where the machines of industry, growth and development are hell-bent on their own (and everyone elses) immolation. Worms seeks to tell different stories, we build spaces of transformation, resistance and wonder. Young people are inheriting a world that is polarised, depleted and extracted and it is fundamental to offer them the hope to transform it. Inventing new futures offers our youth something the world actively suppresses: the freedom to imagine beyond the limits imposed on them.
